HOW TO NOTIFY A CLAIM

Act quickly to protect your business

Professional Indemnity Insurance is underwritten on claims made basis. This means that your policy will only provide cover against claims discovered and notified to the insurer during the period of insurance. If you need to notify a claim, or a potential claim or circumstance you must do so as soon as possible within the period of your insurance.

To protect your position, you should notify a claim even if you're not certain of the exact circumstance or truth of the allegations against you. You are obligated to include as many details as possible in your initial notification.  Prime Professions can supply a claims notification form that outlines all the information you need to provide and the documents you should attach. We recommend you use a separate form for every claim.

Our Claims Consultants have specialised knowledge of the claims process. If necessary, we can recommend independent lawyers who can help. If you would like to find out how our support could make a difference, please call 020 7173 2100 or email the team directly by clicking here
